Travel and Stay

Travelling to Tipperary

We are so grateful you are making the journey to celebrate with us in the heart of County Tipperary. For guests travelling internationally, there are two convenient airport options: Dublin Airport (DUB) has the widest selection of international routes and is approximately a two-hour drive to Cashel. Shannon Airport (SNN) is approximately a one-hour drive to Cashel and and offers seasonal direct flights from cities including Boston and New York. From either airport, you can rent a car, arrange a private transfer, or travel by public transport.

PRIVATE TRANSFERS

If you are travelling internationally and would prefer not to brave the Irish roads, private transfers can be arranged between either airport and Cashel Palace or the surrounding Cashel area. We recommend Glasheens Coaches, a local transportation company. To arrange a transfer, please contact Elaine at info@glasheenscoaches.com. Please find the rates below:

Eat & Drink

We're excited to celebrate in one of Ireland's most historic towns, with a rich heritage of food, hospitality, and of course, Guinness.

Few people know that Arthur Guinness was born on the grounds of what is now Cashel Palace. His father brewed ale for the Archbishop of Cashel, and a small inheritance from the Archbishop later helped Arthur establish what would become Ireland's most famous brewery.

While you are here, we recommend that you explore some of our favourite local spots.

Explore Ireland

We hope our wedding gives you the perfect excuse to spend a little longer discovering Ireland.
